The scientific library has been located in the Institute from the very beginning as the necessary base for its scientific activity (Drug Institute existed from 1952 to 2002 when National Institute of Public Health was established).
At the moment there are about 7000 books in the collection. The content of the collection is being modified and up dated all the time and old volumes are being replaced with the new ones. The collection concerning the knowledge about medicinal products includes: analysis, pharmacology, toxicology etc. There are the latest editions of Pharmcopeias from all over the world and up-dated set of monographs concerning pharmaceutical knowledge in the collection. All the scientific articles published by the employees of the Institute are collected by the library and bibliography of all the publications and meeting abstracts are being prepared here.
Xerox unit is also part of in the Library providing services for all the other units of the Institute.
